I'm looking for a roommate in Foster City, CA. The room is a master bedroom with an attached bathroom for $1800 / month.

My housing needs are simple. I need a room in a house or an apartment that is all my own, a kitchen and bathroom to share, and an environment that is dog friendly. I'm hoping standard utilities like trash, water, gas, electricity, and Internet can be included in the the $1400, if possible. Bonus points for a green space, pool, in-home laundry system, gym on site, etc. I would prefer that the apartment or home is in or around San Mateo and close to public transit. I am looking for a roommate(s) that is/are somewhat neat, pretty normal, and preferably fun and easy to be around. I'm looking for a new place to cut down my commute to work.

Sound good? Let's get to know each other...

My name is Elizabeth but my friends call me Liz.  I moved to California in April of 2015 and have decided to relocate to San Mateo recently to cut down my commute to work. I just turned 28 years old, love to travel, and I'm just getting into wine in California. I'm always up for adventure and feel at home in interesting conversations.

Growing up back east, I haven't quite gotten used to the warm weather and nice beaches in California but I'm catching up quickly. I moved to California in April of 2015. I love being outside, sunsets, and stars.

These are two of my closest friends. It's said that you can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep, so I figure they look harmless enough and fun, right?!

I'm passionate about education and paying the rent! I'm employed by a nonprofit called The School Fund. I got a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government and a Master's in International Educational Policy at Harvard. I was raised to be humble and grateful, growing up in Granby, Massachusetts with the family you see around me here.

Meet Rosie. She's a therapy dog, which means she's highly trained and affectionate. She's sweet, friendly, and somewhat of a marshmallow. She's not a barker but is a solid companion. She's regularly groomed, doesn't smell like dog, and shedding isn't an issue. I take a lot of pride in her and keeping a tidy home.

This is my boyfriend, Jeff. He's a teddybear of sorts and owns a tech business, so he can get you out of any digital jam you might find yourself in, which could prove helpful at some point. We're both pretty nerdy but love social activities like board games, dinner parties, and camping.

Liz is the perfect housemate. If she lived on the east coast, I’d live with her again in a heartbeat! She decorates with a modern / comfy style flair, loves to read and cook, and advocates for a fun life experience. She could be your next roommate — how exciting!
— Cass, former business partner
Liz, like myself, loves to throw a great dinner party. Of course, you’ll be invited! She’s very into the details with everything she does and doesn’t disappoint with her wonderful baking and inner culinary artiste. Rosie is a model dog, and the envy of every other dog owner. The only thing better than seeing Rosie, is seeing Liz.
— Eva, former college blockmate
Liz is the most authentic human being I’ve ever met. She’d give you the shirt off her back to see you succeed and has a down to Earth nature and curious wonder that is refreshing and fun to be around. It’s also important to note that she’s way too humble to ever do a site like this, so you can blame me for that.
— Jeff, boyfriend
I recently recently flew to the US from Germany to explore California and all it has to offer. Liz generously opened her home to us and made us feel incredibly welcome. I think she’d make a fantastic roommate or tenant and can’t wait to see where she ends up next. Ending up with Liz as your roommate or tenant is what I imagine winning the lottery is like.
— Sophie, former colleague
